Impact Measurement in the Amplify Women’s Voices Project: Method and Results

At the heart of every successful project lies the ability to assess its impact.

For theAmplify Women’s Voices project, our mission was to equip women leaders in DEI and
regenerative projects with the skills and confidence to amplify their voices through
podcasting. To ensure that we were not only meeting our goals but also creating lasting
value for our participants, we developed a robust impact measurement strategy. This
involved collecting feedback at multiple stages of the project, including during the
intensive seminar week, through follow-up sessions, and via a final evaluation. Our goal
was to assess the development of skills, the increase in confidence, and the overall
success of participants in creating their own podcasts.

The feedback collected from participants was overwhelmingly positive. Through surveys
and interviews, we gathered data that helped us understand the personal and
professional growth of the participants. Many reported a significant increase in
confidence and a newfound comfort in using their voices as tools for advocacy. Our
hands-on approach to podcasting, combined with voice coaching and digital storytelling,
equipped participants with the skills to confidently create and share their stories on
global platforms. In fact, participants not only developed their podcasts but expressed
ongoing commitment to the process, even after the initial training week ended.

One of the key findings from our impact measurement activity was the importance of
continued support beyond the initial training phase. The five online follow-up meetings
played a critical role in sustaining participant engagement, fostering collaboration, and
providing space for further learning. By maintaining an ongoing connection with
participants, we were able to ensure that the skills learned during the training were not
lost but rather expanded upon. This support helped participants refine their podcast
projects, troubleshoot technical issues, and share feedback with their peers,
strengthening both individual projects and the collective podcast channel that was
created.

In addition to these qualitative results, our impact measurement confirmed that theAmplify Women’s Voices project succeeded in its broader objectives of empowering women leaders to advocate for themselves and their communities. Through podcasting, participants not only gained a platform to voice their ideas but also became part of a
larger, global conversation on DEI and regenerative practices.
