[Get to know personal stories] The unheard climate voices

What if our personal stories held the power to spark collective climate action?

Theme: Get to know personal stories

Topic: Climate action & activism

Language: English

In this episode, co-hosts Donna and Hanna explore the deep intersection between personal narrative and climate activism, turning the spotlight on Hanna’s own journey. She reflects on her “aha” moments, the mentors who shaped her path, and how emotional resilience helps her cope with the realities of our changing planet. Together, Hanna and Donna consider the wisdom of Indigenous traditions, the importance of amplifying marginalized voices, and how sharing personal stories can inspire systemic transformation.

For Hanna, one of her greatest motivations comes from her three young nieces whose future on a livable planet drives her commitment to climate justice and intergenerational hope.

You’ll learn:

  • How storytelling can turn individual awareness into collective action

  • Why emotional resilience is key to sustaining long-term climate engagement

  • What it means to find purpose and strength through personal and shared narratives

Key Quotes:
