[Learn from nature & ancestral wisdom] The forest speaks

What can stories from the Brazilian Amazon teach us about resilience, culture, and coexistence?

Theme: Learn from nature & ancestral wisdom

Topic: Science, nature & biodiversity

Language: English

In this first episode of The Forest Speaks, the roles are reversed: host Brunni Corsato becomes the guest, interviewed by science communicator Sarah Stötzner. Together, they explore the vision behind the podcast: why stories from the Brazilian Amazon matter, how centering optimism can transform environmental storytelling, and why amplifying voices often left in the margins is key to reshaping our shared imagination about the planet’s future.

You’ll learn:

  • Why storytelling is essential to reimagining our relationship with the Amazon

  • How optimism and empathy can counter doom-driven narratives

  • What it means to truly listen—to the forest, its people, and the wisdom they hold
