Fiach O Donoghue, Activist

Fiach is a 13-year-old environmental advocate with a fierce passion for biodiversity and marine protection. Growing up along Ireland’s coast, he developed a deep love for the ocean and the life it sustains. His activism took shape through the national Children and Young People’s Citizens’ Assembly on Biodiversity Loss, where he worked with peers from across the country to influence national climate policy. Fiach has collaborated with University College Cork to create environmental education resources and contributed to YMCA marine life projects, sharing his knowledge with other young changemakers. He believes that young people have the power—and the responsibility—to drive meaningful climate action. With aspirations to study marine ecology, Fiach is already charting a course toward a future where both people and the planet thrive.

Tara O Donoghue, Artist, Writer

Tara is an artist, writer, and community arts coordinator whose practice explores the entanglements between humans, the more-than-human world, and vibrant matter. Drawing on philosophies of deep ecology and new materialism, her work weaves together soundscapes, storytelling, and socially engaged projects that de-center the human in conversations about climate and place.

She is currently completing a BA in Visual Arts with TUD Sherkin and works across arts and environmental fields. At the heart of her work is a belief in the power of art to foster connection, curiosity, care, and real change for the living world we share.
